This lambskin jacket was my second Indy jacket I got 4 years ago. well, in a sence I feel it is my first since I tore up with
very first a couple weeks after I got it. I quickly replaced it and has worn it ever since.
funny, when seeing this jacket together with the gear and some dust it gives just the most authentic Indy look then almost an of my other jackets do and this is just an
of the rack 44 wested. Not super sa but I love it all. it's my friend.
the keep it simple stupid comes to mind when thinking about all the jackets I got.
I think I've had ''the one'' jacket all along.
what do you think? pretty cool look eh?

Very cool! Looks like it popped right off the screen. There are some Wested details I'm not fond of, but in this pic, it looks really good.

I think you are onto it, Holt. A guy just has to find the jacket that works best for him.
...my problem is....I like THAT one and
that one and
that one....

I think it's a good look, but like all these things, I think it's okay for one shot, and maybe weaker on a different angle, strong in THIS scene, but weaker looking for THAT scene...If you see what I mean..
None of us can really hope for an ALL-IN perfect jacket (Although the Todd's is best for me now), especially when trying to recreate Indy.. We can only get close to one scene from a certain angle...Which is why we all buy so many ###### Jackets!!
But, that said...In that photo you DO kill the jacket..Great look...(####, I reckon ALL yours look better than mine, but it's always giving me drive to try something more on the NEXT order, so it's all good brother!!)

Holt, that photo looks like it was shot on the set of Raiders. I'm not one for the full gear thing, but that is just uncanny. Very impressive!

thanks my friends.
actually the 'location' I chose was inspired by the sandy hills of 'Tanis'
I wanted my pictures to scream Raiders and not ''living room Indy'' lol.
thanks again

In my opinion, it's not the details like perfect flaps, collar, storm flap, etc, that make a jacket scream
"Raiders!" (or Indy!)
More important is fit, drape, the worn look, and the "frame" which the jacket is wrapped around.
To me, this is one of the main reasons why Eric nails it in every pic, regardless of the jacket maker.

Yep. If you look like Jack Black, say, the jacket won't look much like the movie version. People forget that the film look is as much the person wearing it as the costume itself.

thanks.
for fun, favorite jackets I have.
this one.
my SA wested goatskin (which saddly is becoming alittle too small for me)
the Legend US made
the HERO USW cowhide
the todds standard old pattern.
and the Todds ''bantu'' of course. that is my favortie of them all I think and have been thinking of distressing it down to remove the shine and dust it up for picture taking like the one above since I got the jacket for
beating it up in the first place. I just kinda have fallen in love it and feels alittle bad thinking about ''hurting'' it

I know what you mean! I bought the Bantu for a beater jacket so I wouldn't ruin my Wested, and now that I have the Bantu, I don't want to ruin that either! It's SO nice! I guess I'll just let both jackets age and distress naturally
