Well, this is something I bought from a local leather artisan, tailored to my measurements. It is not S.A. by any means, but I love it! Just wanted to share it with you:

Nice jacket... Has both the vintage, and adventure look about it.

It looks great! Huge storm flap! I'm with IndyDawg, what leather? Also, what'd it set you back?

Yeah...I thought that about the flap, too....must be a reason for it.

I know what you mean about the storm flap! It's about 2 inches wider than it should be, but I like it anyways... It is made from goatskin. The price was about $180 USD.

Wow....smooth grain for a goatskin....nice color, too.

And, if you really wanted, I guess you COULD cut the flap down some...

But, it is a good-lookin' jacket.

I hope you have a hidden snap on that flap, as the first wind storm you get into, it WILL beat you to death!

Glad to help, and I'm serious.

Unsecured storm flaps in a high wind can actually smack the stew out of you. Been there, done that, got a snap put on the errant flap!

You know... Whenever you point this details like the snaps on the collar and the throat latch, makes me want to desing a "reimagining" of the indy jacket with those details... Do you have any ideas as to how to make the jacket more, ehm... functional, shall we say?

Yeah ...don't get an Indy jacket! as much as we love this jacket, its just not the most functional design out there. You could add a throat latch to the collar. That would solve the birch slapping. Reminds me of a joke about two wood peckers arguing about whether a tree is a son of a beech or a son of a birch...

But If I don't have an Indy jacket, then how could I be in Indygear?

Heck, there are MILLIONS of people out there wearing A2's thinking they're in Indygear, so it's not a problem!
