Just got a package in!

It consisted of two perma lock needs, small and medium, an osborne fid, and an 8oz. roll of natural atrificial sinew.

Now my question, when using the artificial sinew for binding, do you split it beforehand like it is always advertised you can do,

mind is just about 1/8" wide, maybe a little less.

Thank you guys as always :TOH:

No need to split it.
Actually, the thinner it is, the more wraps you will need to cover the same area.

No don't split.

But you may find it easier to exert more pull if you wrap it around a mandrel or a stick which you use to pull on.

I usually use a pencil or dowel or whatever I have near me at the time. I wrap it around the pencil a couple of times and when I

pull just lay my finger on it to increase friction.
