Goatskin stuff!

Post by WiseFrog »

I just got this email from Peter. I know there's been a bit of worry over goatskin lately, so just in case this hasn't been mentioned already I thought I'd post it. Apologies in advance if this is old news!

In response to my query about the availability of goatskin:

---

We are still producing Goat Skin in the dark brown colour, it is only the Authentic Brown batch that is affected. Goat is the lightest wearing leather so if you wanted one in Dark Brown then there would be no problem at all. The leather issue has been taken a little out of context as we experience problems with various batches of skin from time to time and this is because it is a natural product.

If you particularly wanted the Authentic Brown then I would advise you to wait to order your jacket until our next batch has arrived and has been inspected. If you want the Dark Brown then don’t hesitate!

---

Hope this helps. :)

I think that ought to put some minds at ease. I can personally
vouch for the dark brown goat...tough as nails, but very light.
It's gotta' give you confidence knowing that Peter will only accept
the materials that meet his standards, no exceptions.

Just got another email from Peter - he said the next shipment of Authentic Goat Skin is due in 2 weeks, so hopefully those of us wanting the lighter colored goat don't have too much longer to wait :)
