Above is a trick I've been working on the past few weeks. I recall seeing a video where Clark Bynum did a trick similar to this, so I thought I'd start working on it.

Very Cool Trick! Looks like a nylon cow whip. Did you pull that off with a nylon fall? I've always heard its harder to wrap with nylon rather than a leather fall.

You heard correctly. Leather grips SO much better than nylon.

You will have transcended from "mortal" to "EPIC" if you learn how to pull that off....

That was a choreographed combat demo. He did wrap the sword, but the energy that propelled it to his hand was the other performer throwing it to him.
Not saying it's not impressive, just that it's ENGINEERED to look more impressive and dangerous than it actually is. DeLongis is a stunt actor and coordinator. That's his job, and he does it well.

Very cool trick!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a water bottle and whip.
Wow...that didn't sound right...

What's fun to do is throw a bottle up and try and crack it in half ( it needs water in it ).
I've done this two times and it's cool, the water looks like an explosion for a second

I've been practicing my targeting on the purple maple tree in my parents yard.
Leaves make wonderful targets, though my father comes out and asks me if I could whip them BACK onto the tree
I tried some moving targets last weekend, and I was either over the thrown object or below it.

When you throw something up, try to hit it at it's peak when it's barely moving. It's easier and still looks impressive

Thanks for the tip! Going to try that this weekend.
