Hello Ladies and Gents,
I was looking around for a good CS back pack alternative, as I have a screen accurate one, but it is more of a display piece due to the rare nature of the bag, I know I know gear to meant to be used. I came across this at jcrew which really has a nice CS vibe to it, plus the price is not too bad!
Just thought I would pass it along,
Kind regards,
Stefan

VERY nice!!!
I like it very much. Get a leather tag with MY initials on that bad boy and you've got an awesome piece of Hollowpond gear! Thanks for pointing this out...

That's a good looking bag. I can see a present-day Indy getting one of those if he could swallow the price

Great looking pack.
Here is some additional information on the bags dimensions from the website,
"Sized to stow everything you need to make a quick getaway, it allows you to go hands free to hail a cab or jump on the seat of a Triumph. Top flap closure with buckle strap. Exterior pockets, interior back wall patch pocket. Import. Adjustable shoulder straps. 16 1/2"H x 12 1/4"W x 5 1/2"D."

Just thought I should mention, I bought the pack and have already returned it. It looks great, and if all you need is a normal-to-small size pack for daily use, I would recommend it. I am looking for something a bit more durable, something worthy of a good couple days' hike etc. and it just wasn't for me. I'm probably going to pick up a Duluth 'Wanderer' in waxed canvas at some point, which is a bit more expensive ($235 vs $110). I'm sorry to say I forgot to take any pics while I still had it, but the images on Jcrew's site are dead on for color and shape.
Just in case you're wondering what I specifically did not like about it: the leather straps seemed a bit too rubbery for my taste, and the bag really isn't that big. My old North Face 'Borealis' pack is definitely bigger. Also, the waxed canvas wasn't all that waxed. My father has a waxed canvas LL Bean bag, and it is much more waxed. Don't think the Jcrew pack will keep out much water.
Anyway, just thought I should let you all know what I thought. Hope this helps.
