Those are awesome....more and more I am loving the Gear/Everday wear look. Love the one of you running. Even your clothes without the jacket look very "adventurous". Good work!

Awesome shots!!!
Have you found that your's has worn in or started to distress? I know that it was implied that these jackets would distress fairly quickly with just regular wear, but I've not found that to be the case at all.....I've had mine since Jan and worn it practically every day, not been overly careful with it, but just treated it like any other jacket I own.....Looks just like new...

Wow, excellent pics! The jacket-less shot really nails the character of Indy, for me anyways.
Thanks for sharing, great fun!

Thanks guys! It was actually a lot of fun. I was in White Horse Canyon, very cool and really beautiful. I did feel a little ridiculous though; running full speed at the back of my stationary truck...

Thanks!
You're closer than you know. It's a travel diary that my wife gave me a few years ago. The winds were crazy that day, it was hard to hide anything in your pockets!

I think it's all relative. It may take years to distress a thicker hide, but only a year for the SL. Mine has broken in fairly quick and I expect to see some "distressing" in short order. In fact, I just checked it out...I have a few scratches on it that I don't remember receiving. Hope that helps.

Soooo... How does one "just happen" to find oneself in the high desert, and why were you looking for yourself anyway?

Thanks again guys. Michael, humble thanks for the compliments. They're
almost too much...almost.
As I've always said, I'm "Indy-inspired" and I prefer my own take on the gear. Although, I am glad you guys like the shots with the WPG. That's probably the closest I'll ever get to "SA". Hey, what can I say? It's an awesome shirt!
I digress...
I absolutely love my Legend (aka 'Henry'). It has become a trusted companion and an indirect inspiration behind the pics. You know, it's funny when I think about it; my simple quest for a great leather jacket ultimately made me a Gearhead! Who knew?
Long John, I was passing through Wyoming on my way to other points east. I saw the terrain and just had to get the shot(s).

Where in Wyoming were these taken? I've been eyeballing a spot just south of Cheyenne for my own photo shoot...Looks just like the desert scenes from LC.

DJ, let me start by saying: You've got a good mug, sir.
I hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable or anything... I'm just paying you a compliment like anyone else here, but right now it's not about the IndyGear specifically, it's about the FACE you showed up with.
Y'know since you first started posting here, I've seen several photos of you in a few different Threads here and the Gear always looks really good on you, but I also always think
"Dude's got a good mug... Looks tough... Has a good, old-school face that looks like a fella oughtta look" ...and I ain't afraid to say it.
Alright, I'll admit I might've just made it a
little weird...
I guess I'm just saying go get yourself an agent and get to work replacing that other fella making the Old Spice commercials, willya?
Anyway, moving on...
The Gear looks great in these photos... and the setting? Perfect. I'm glad you took these and like most everyone here, I also think that as good as they all are, the running shot's the best. It's undoubtedly got a great action/adventure look about it, of course... but I think that I've realized something else about it that really works:
We can't see the top of your hat in that shot - and because of that, it's easy for the brain to pretend it's a taller-crowned Indy-styled fedora that's just outside of the shot - and that imaginary/missing hat really WORKS in that shot, too.
You wear the jacket and shirt very well, DJ... but your hat is, I'm sure you'll admit, a little different that the hats that many of the fedora fans around these parts usually wear - it's that lower crown, wider/looser pinch cowboy-style hat.
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that, mind you... It's a perfectly fine hat and it looks good onya and I'm glad you like it...
But this photo also shows - I think - that if you ever wanted to, you could definitely make the taller crowned, Indy-style work to your advantage (after all, buddy: you've got a good face for it)
Lastly, I'll say this:
You mentioned that you felt "a little ridiculous" getting your photo taken while "running full speed at the back of a stationary truck"...
Well pal,
WELCOME to the Club!
You're now a (proud?) member of an elite group of Members here who've shrugged off the risk of public embarrassment or ridicule by donning a certain amount of gear and muttering to himself
"I know I might look like a bit of a (male-donkey) doing this... but DANG IT, there's no other way to get this shot!"
As another, fellow Member of this club
(remind me sometime to tell you the tale of repeatedly running across my front lawn pretending to out-run Hovitos for the sake of getting a photo for a project my sister-in-law was working on) ,
I salute you, Jones!

Aw shucks Mitch, you're making me blush.
I'm married though, so don't get any ideas!
Seriously though, many thanks. I knew the pictures were pretty cool, but didn't expect such a positive reaction. Glad everybody likes them. I guess I'll have to get out there with the camera a little more. I AM proud of my Indyness and don't mind showing it off!
I think you're onto something with the lid, but I don't know man, I love my current headwear selection. I think it has the vibe, but it's my own take on Indy. (Am I sounding like a broken record?) I also think there's something about the fedora that doesn't look right on me. Maybe it's that the crown is a little too tall for my liking. I'll give it some thought.
One more thing: While we've discussed hats and shirts, my original intent with these pics was to show just how awesome this jacket can look. It was a bumpy road to this point, but I really think USW hit a homerun with this thing. The dang thing feels like it was custom made for me...
Thanks and take care!
V/R,
Andy

Yeah, now that Indydawg mentions it, I've gotta agree:
DJ if you replace that WPG with a purple v-neck t-shirt, you'll have a real good
"Woody Harrelson/Zombieland"-thing going on in a couple of those shots thanks to that setting.
