Fun fun fun

Post by riku1914 »

Was messing around with one of my whips ( the black nylon one ) and i decided to try something i heard of

people doing from time to time. The original crack cut the very top off, then the second one i tried split it in

two then it flew about 20 feet ( not exaggerating ) then hit a stack of 4x4 boards and broke into a few

more pieces.

Of course a whip can break some glass. As long as it's not super thick glass.

Fun? Yes! But let me throw the disclaimer....

Be super careful when doing this stuff. If you have pets, kids, or others walking in the area then it's dangerous. Make sure you are taking proper precautions for yourself as well. If that bottle had flipped in the wrong direction then you may have found yourself in trouble. I'd suggest using the popper or fall of the whip as they are replaceable. I'd hate to hear somebody damaged the thong of the whip attempting to cut glass. OK, I'm done!

It's supposed to be the popper that hit's it of course, bernie said that he's seen people break really thick glass with it ( old beer

bottles ) but since the popper is traveling faster than a bullet is, of course it can do this, i made a soda can fly about 30 ft. doing

this as well :o

Ok, so I'm not sure if you are trying to argue with me. So forgive me if you aren't.

But my point is that you need to be careful. Sure, old beer bottles are thick but glass can be even more thick and hard to destroy. And it doesn't surprise me that you can make soda cans fly far either. That just goes to illustrate my point further. These objects fly far and can be dangerous. Winrich did a soda can which is easily picked up. Glass isn't the best to destroy if other people or animals go through that area frequently.

People need to be wearing proper gear like eye protection etc. It amazes me how many people attempt these stunts and end up with bad results. Some of them have been posted around here.

That's all I'm saying.

I was agreeing with you, just illustrating my point by saying how, the thinner bottles and cans i destroyed isn't the extent of it,

and that these are not at all toys, though it is fun to smash things with a whip (good target practice also )
