Hey everyone been a long time since I posted and long over due. I was looking real hard on the board and did not see this boot. This is the Dr Martens Damian Derby Boot Brown Burnished Servo Lux. Long time fan of Docs. I was wondering the thought on this one.

Hey, they aren't too bad! I think if you darkened the stitching on the toes and all that, and made them look a little more distressed, they could look pretty darn good!

And for, what? A quarter the price of Aldens? A third of the price? Yikes!

I done quit a bit of looking, and to me they seem to be very close in the style. What about the rest of you experts? Nit pic these boots! I am still getting them. I may still get the Aldens when I head back to Honolulu. They have a store that has them in waikiki. Close enough, but it is the real gear freak that nit pics. Like I do on holloween and I see all the Indys. Yeah everyone knows the look, but is it real? Cosplayers know just like us and the dedication.

They really are nice! I wonder if they will take off the "Martens" stamp and insert "Jones"?

That'd be GREAT if they did a Special Doc Marten's Raiders 30th Anniversary "Dr. Jones" Limited Edition of their boot!
There'd probably be quite a few people in the general public who'd pick it up feeling like it was pretty authentic Collectible to have, too (THEY, of course, having likely never even heard the word "Alden" before...)

It'd sure be a KICK!

Very nice! I love Dr. Martens, have been wearing the brand since high school. These look great, definitely close to Indy's boots in style!

Those look pretty good for close-enoughs. I bet they'd be very comfortable too!

I remember Doc Martens was all the rage here when I was in highschool. Almost everyone I knew had one.

A few years back I was supposed to buy some boots from their store only to come back 2 weeks too late. The local distributor or something pulled out just 2 weeks before I was supposed to buy the boots. No more local DM shops over here.

Had to settle for a pair of CATerpillar safety shoes instead.

What's worse is now the cheaply constructed, made in china knock-offs are being sold here instead of the original Doc Martens.

It was a time when there were NO bootleg (pun intended) Doc Martens shoes here. That would be around... ummmm... 15yrs ago.

The fakes came pouring in a year after Doc Martens stores closed (I think that was around 2yrs ago).

here in the UK in the late seventies/early eighties doc martens were part of the 'skin head' uniform - but although the sole is the traditional doc martens these you've found really look the part for indy.

That what I've been thinking to Donovan.
As I recall the school I went to band them because of there association with 'skin heads' and neo-nazis!!!!

These boot a far from the doc martens of old,my have to get a pair.
My only concern is the soles,I had a pair of doc martin slip on 'dealer' boots for work at one time and all I got was punctures.

The traditional DM sole doesn't scream Indy... but I remember they were comfortable because they were soft (and surprisingly they didn't wear out that easy despite the fact they were soft).

I usually wear out my shoes, especially the inner heels because of driving.

Just bought a pair of these to tide me over till my Alden 403 boots arrive. Very comfy from the start with the usual Dr Marten's high quality. The leather uppers do seem thinner than the original Dr Marten's boot. I've applied a couple of coats of Pecards using a hair dryer just to waterproof them so that will have darkened the colour a little. Have a look.

those are a nice looking boot-they look comfortable too.(you'll have to post pics of your 403's when they arrive )

They´re very "real world" BUT still Indysh,very nice.Sole looks tad too thick IMO.

Aye. The sole is rather thick. Also looks a little out of place on this style of boot. Still, very happy with them.

Wow, This just made my day!

I'm in need of a pair boots for daily wear.
I've been wanting something Indy-ish, but, the wife wants me to get a pair of Doc's instead.
Looks like that problem is solved!

Hey, this Eastland 'Lumber Up' boot was in the sidebar of that page and I like it way more than the Doc Martens.

I just ordered some for $78 from the Dr Marten website. Should be here Friday.
I am thinking of giving them an unction of Pecards for water proofing and an application of brown shoe polish.

Can do. They looked just like yours when I got them.

I've been wearing mine everyday since I got them and they are great boots (I've always been a "Doc's" fan).
They appear to be a veg tanned/semi aniline leather. A few coats of Pecards darkened them up a few shades.

They all look awful close to the old Redwings 202
