Distressing a Wings antique Cowhide Indy-style Hero Jacket

I was wearing my antique cowhide the other day. I brushed up against a brick and wall and realized that the hide distresses with ease. I took a fine sandpaper in a very hidden spot to test it. The undertone color was reddish brown, perfect for a LC look. Has anyone gone full out with distressing one??

Full out - no.
I tried to do a little after an incident similar to yours but I ran out of patience. In the end, because my jacket has been worn really hard, it achieved its own distressed look easily and because it has natural the points of wear it doesn't look contrived..
