I have a Wested Raiders that I don't wear very much because it has too much lining in the sleeves. Does anyone know of a quick and/or cheap and/or easy method to remove the extra lining?

Thanx!!!
Charlie

I just had the sleeves on my Todd's Standard done at local alteration shop. It cost $14 and makes a world a difference! I've come to realize that all these little things that bother us with our gear can be remedied by a trip to the alteration shop, tailor or luggage repair store. Usually for not very much money. ;)

I folded over the excess lining and sewed some stitches that have held up ever since on my goat Wested of 2004.
Here are a couple of shots of the repair:

I was pondering this for a blazer I have. I think I'll try Swindi's idea.

I've been putting up with the same problem and Swindiana's suggestion worked a treat. Thanks.

Yeah, I had a problem with my Bantu Wind after the cold water wash. The jacket shrunk but the lining didn't. I just took a couple of tucks in the excess lining, folded them over and stitched 'em up. No problem, Probably could have taken it to a pro, but I feel like sewing it yourself by hand is way more "Indiana Jones."

I have a couple suit jacket with the same problem. I thought about doing something similar only turn the jacket inside out and do the stitching at the armpit area so it wouldn't ever be seen.
