I'm sure it's fine, but any opinions on whether using a generic leather conditioner on my jacket would be fine? Better safe than sorry.

Maybe test a spot under the collar to make sure it's ok? I used a leather conditioner from Wilson's Leather on my Wested jacket and had no problems. But like I said I would test a spot and make sure. Good luck! Please be careful there's no turning back!

What kind of leather is your Todd's jacket?

Lambskin generally likes water soluable conditioner like Letapps, Lexol or Pecards Motorcycle leather lotion.

Any other leather likes either Pecards leather lotion (jell) or standard Pecards.

As has been suggested, always test a new product on your jacket before diving in. Like Indyzane said, there's no turning back. :TOH:

I've used Wilsons leather lotion on 2-3 Todd's Standards in the past and it has worked just fine. It's not necessarily the brand. A good water base is fine.

Ironically, you'll find most brand name dressings out there are subcontracted through Pecards. ;)
