What is the toughest leather that US Wings offers?

Sgt. can obviously chime in, but what do you all think is the toughest leather that US Wings offers and why? Because the thickness, weight, how it wears, etc? I bought a US Made Antique Cowhide Legend that I haven't received yet, and I'm just wondering where it stacks up against other leathers.

Cowhide is a perfect middle of the road leather.

In terms of strength, the stongest is bison, horsehide and goatskin.

Cowhide falls just below these 3.

Yeah, goat is probably the toughest that still drapes like lamb, but the legend is not going to be made in goat

True, but cowhide is tough as nails too, so it's a good choice for strength.

I believe they are still going to do a Legend in Horse that should be tough as nails. The drape will depend on the thickness of the hide.

You know, Wings and Schott have been around for a long time, and I've never seen a worn out jacket in any hide. If anyone goes through enough in life to beat one to death, I'd hate to what the wearer looks like!

 yes...especially since I think many of us have more than one leather jacket and so don't wear the same one everyday. It would take forever to wear them out. I could see wearing out the liner or the zipper though with regular use.

I would think it would be their goatskin. The antique cowhide is a great leather, but it is soft and luxurious (in my opinion). It is almost as light as my Wested lambskin. I wouldn't describe it as tough when compared to goatskin.
