I dropped my Noel Howard pants off at the tailor (after having them for 2 months to have them hemmed. I have asked for the extra material so I can send it to those who are interested.

My Raider's shirt will hopefully fare well too. I had the tailor take measurements and taper the shirt so there is not so much material around my waist. If it works well, I will have the others dones as well...

Boy, I can hardly wait. That's the thing about this hobby. I am always waiting for something to arrive in the mail, get repaired, naturally distress, etc. Tom Petty nailed it. The waiting IS the hardest part...

I would LOVE to get some of that scrap material, please.

Good luck on the shirt tailoring. I'm not sure where I stand on that one. I'd be afraid of having it fit too snuggly and taking away from that "rough and rugged" look.

Well, this is as good a time as any to explain what I think is a good definition of 'naturally distressed', since he brought it up. That is the feeling I felt the other day when I was tooling down the road in my 3200 pound 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe 4 door sedan at a good clip, and was coming to a railroad crossing, the road dead ending into a 4 lane highway and stop sign, and upon putting my foot down on the brake pedal and having it go ALL the way to the floor with no brake pressure....AT ALL...and not being able to get the car stopped until I had pumped the pedal 5 times, I was (you ready for this?) 'naturally distressed' . Time to go home now..... Sorry about that. Regards. Michaelson

You were just roaming around the posts looking for one that would allow a segue, weren't you I would have "naturally distressed" my pants as well, I would imagine...

I suppose on a car THAT old, you probably could've jamed your feet thru the floorboards and dragged them against the ground... that is of course if you were wearing your Aldens.

Not to get this off topic, but same here with my '72 VW Beetle the other day...I too was praying that my hand brake would hold on! Blasted brake line leak!

In every picture I have seen of Indy's shirt, it is form-fitting. Not tight, but conforms to Harry's shape even unbuttoned half way.

I wear a medium to fit my shoulders, but probably would fit into a small everywhere else. (I am only 5'6" tall.) The resulting shirt looks as if I have a pillowcase streaming out of my pants when I tuck it in - there is just too much material.

In any pictures where I am wearing these shirts, I pull them tight in front and tuck all the excess behind me to be covered by the jacket

I live in Londonderry - you were about 10 minutes from my house! You should have dropped in...

Had I not got the car to stop before hitting Elm St I would've been doing more then just dropping in!

(It was almost 15 years ago too).
