Well..I've gone and done it...

I've got a "new" Wested coming my way, folks!!

I bought CRB's Last Crusade new finish cowhide he had listed in the bazzar last night and he shipped it out today. Tagged size 44, but it's been ten minutes (he says) in the wash to give it a little character, Pecards added to revive it, and so it's slightly used....and is wearing closer to a 42-43...

Hopefully, it will be here one day next week...before Christmas ...

I'm really looking forward to it...it's the first Wested I've had in a LONG time, and will be good to have another in the closet!

Pics, thoughts, and a full review probably after the first of the year!

Royal Mail says it's in the US...USPS says it's not here yet...so...I guess maybe it's clearing customs?

But, you know...I've had jackets not even show up as being IN the US from Wested before until AFTER they'd been delivered...

So...we'll just have to see!

Apparently it has now left Jamacia, NY and on its way to you. Must say I'm very impressed it has even left the UK as most of the country (especially the airports) was closed and nothing was going anywhere! I think you will get it in time for Christmas now.

Well, Mitch...I guess it all depends on how the USPS treats the package at this point. If it's being given "Priority Mail" status, then, it might be here tomorrow...which would be enough time to get some photos up for viewing on Friday...

But...if it's just "Parcel Post," then it could still be Friday....or even next Monday before she gets here...

Again...just trying to be patient...and having to put a great deal of energy into getting Christmas together for others is helping with that

But, I still feel like a 12 yr. old!!!

She came!!!

She's......just.....OH, so nice!!!

The fit couldn't have been better if I'd have custom ordered it myself! Like a GLOVE!

The cowhide is DARK brown...almost black...the wash treatment didn't hurt the leather at ALL, and gave it a bit of character...not too much, and there's PLENTY of room for this to gain character as it ages....

Some differences from previous Wested LC jackets...really quick...as I'm tryin' to get out the door to a party...

Inside pocket is just a single strip of leather.
Back panel goes ALL the way to the shoulder edge....like on the Raiders jackets...

Oh...and it's missing the Handcrafted in the UK tag....so....

AAAAND, I am editing this post to let you all know that this Wested, while it was really sweet, turned around and almost immediately went to a fellow in Cali., whose fiancee bought it for him as a post-Christmas/New Years' present. I have assurances from him that he'll be joining COW as soon as he can and posting pics. So...yeah, that was a quick turnaround! But, hey....that's the way it goes, sometimes!

With that, I guess I'll just lock this bad boy down...
