Somewhere in Indy's closet

Post by Long John Tinfoil »

Even Indy has to get out to the opera, ballet or symphony once in a while. I wonder if he had one of these?

With apologies for the poor quality of cellphone pix.

he did use one in his younger days (the young indiana jones chronicles) when he was invited to a party by George Gershwin. But it wasn't really his. He borrowed it from the theatre he was working for (episode: Scandal of 1920)

One would think in his line of work he would be invited to black tie events so likely he owned formal wear. That is, until he got shot at by Chinese gangsters.

Thanx. I've never seen any of the Chronicles, so that's good to know. Was it a Gibus like this or a regular topper?

Found, along with many other things long forgotten, in my late Mother's house. She was more of a pack-rat than I had thought. :-k If memory serves, I bought it at a thrift shop for a high school drama production at around the time of Canada's Centennial. Last seen on Hallowe'en sometime in the mid-70's.
