Hi guys,
Long time no post. I finally got around to buying a pair of aldens. they are extremely comfortable. However, I am having what seems to be an issue with premature wear on the leather in the area where the shoe laces are tied, specifically at the sides. Sorry about picture quality:

possibly easiest to see in this picture, on the left hand side.
The leather seems to be wearing at high rate and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to prevent this happening further or heal some of the damage in the less effected areas.

Drop Alden's a line and tell them about the wear.
Last year they had a run of bad leather, and several people had this problem in that location on their 405's.
