coyles boots sizing troubles?

Hey everyone, I recently picked up a boatload of stuff from todd, and before I say anything else, I'll say that everything they say about these guys is true. Fantastic service, ridiculously fast shipping, and great products. However, along with my order I got a pair of size 11 boots, since I usually wear between a 10 1/2 and 11 1/2 depending on boot type and brand. These were so small I couldn't even get my feet all the way in. So then I went and returned them for 13's, which were huge, like, clown shoe huge on me. Next went with 12's, which I received two left shoes, and when I tried them on, still had a sold 1/2 to 3/4 inch toe room in front. Has anyone else had sizing woes like this? Is there any solution? It's a shame, because they really do seem like quality footwear.

Mine were part of the first order and it was a good fit. They seem to be a B width, not a true D width? Maybe it was an odd sized 11?

You may have gotten one of the mis-marked pairs from the first run. And some folks thought the second batch ran big, especially with thin socks(HUGE difference when you're on the cusp of sizes). With the boots, I'd suggest you call Todd and take his advice. The website used to give instructions and had templates to print out to help you get a good fit-dunno if that's still the case. They all come in one width, which is generous.

pilgrim, sorry about the troubles. I think what happened is that you got a pair of size 9s. The last run of shoes were 2 sizes off - so one end of the box was marked 9 and the other end was marked 11. The size 13 were the right size, but just too big for you - naturally. The 12s - the factory blunders once again with e left shoes. We are down to our last few pairs of shoes right now. I have ONE pair of real 11s here with your name on them. They were recently sent back for size exchange. We'll take care of that today. The 2 left 12s - - don't bother sending them back. I have no right shoes to make pairs. Use them for target practice.
(pilgrim has an APO address, to make things even more complicated for him!)
Shoes - obviously, we're not going to use that manufacturer again - they've done us more harm than good. I've been working with another factory since JANUARY on making our shoes - I think we're at the end of the road with them - they can't make the shoes to the standard we need. Now it's a matter of getting my large deposit back. I have the sinking feeling I'm going to lose about $3,500.
It's a real trial to find high quality manufacturers who will accept small orders!

Those two left size 12's could always be of use to someone who dances very poorly. Ahem.

Even if I wore a size 12, I wouldn't get any use out of them.
