Okay, time to fess up: this whip IS actually for me, and Graeme confirmed that it is indeed a 7' as requested, not an 8'. Plus the handle foundation is 10" though the knot is still properly at 8". This is for leverage of course.

Can't wait to get it (and it's twin sister and cousin--oops! that's supposed to be a secret. :-$ Oh well!!)

Awesome! Looks like you'll be having even more fun with these whips in your collection. So you'll be getting three? :D

I'm getting the one posted above, then a matched whip to go with it, but with a BLUE handle. The third whip is just another 6' kip hide Raiders whip to match the one I already have so that I have a pair. (In actuality then, I will a pair of pairs! :P )

I wanted the other Young Indy to have a blue handle just so that the matched pair had a little differentiation just for the heck of it. They are supposed to be circus whips, after all, so I wanted to keep with the festive and colorful theme, and expand a bit on the notion of screen accuracy in regards to what the whip is. I have another matched pair of whips that have a little differentiation between them, so I wanted to keep with that theme.

And the best part is, all of this will show up before I head down the QM in November! YAY!

A Young Indy whip with a blue handle sounds terrific! I can imagine that matched pair will look great. Definitely a circus theme there. Indeed, you will have a pair of pairs! I'm sure you'll have a great time at the QM!

When the time comes, perhaps you could show us a video of these whips. :)

Aaahhh, I see!
I though the transition looked really stiff!
7' with a 10" handle, that one's gonna be fun!

Correction: the PAIR will be fun! I know I need to start putting together some sets of stockwhips, but in the mean time, this order is all about working on two-handed skills with bullwhips!

That is absolutely gorgjumuss. I wanna be friends with it and take it everywhere with me and impress all the neighborhood children that like to scamper in the streets of my hood. And by impress I mean crack it over their heads and herd them away from my house. :whip: HYAHH HYAHH

Wonderful work. Such a rich color.

Does this mean that you are waiting for them to offer these whips, or that you are waiting for them to finish the ones you've ordered?
