Tardy Sharing of New Gear!

I picked up some great gear this summer and fall but have been woeful tardy when it comes to sharing here at COW. So here's my mea culpa...

The first items I picked up were a Wade Eagan deluxe. Raiders strap and a pair of Indy gloves. If you've never owned a piece of Wade's gear you are indeed missing out something special. The strap and buckle are the best I’ve ever had and absolutely nail the Raiders look IMO. However, it’s the quality of workmanship in both that I’ve found the most impressive. Wade really does great work like everyone says and I’m just glad to finally be in on it.
My other new gear item is a pair of Todd’s boots. Having read all the threads about people’s experience I really didn’t know what to expect. Would I love them or hate them? Once they got here the answer was clear – I LOVE them.
The color is SO much better than I even hoped. The boots have a chocolate ruddy brown color (the pics don't really catch it) that really darkens nicely when Pecarded. I was afraid of the “pumpkin color” I’d seen in pics of the Alden 405’s. No worries regarding these boots. From what I can tell Todd’s split the difference between the 405’s color and the AB Alden’s and that’s just right by me.
It’s worth saying that the heel on my boots (as has been widely reported) did start to separate after a few days of wear (Todd even offered to pay my repair cost. What a guy) and I had to have them mended (it was an easy fix my cobbler did free of charge). Even with all that hassle I still love these boots! So worth it in my opinion.
Hope your gear has been treating you well this season.
Thanks for reading.
Best,
B
