The first Indy Jacket made in Italy

Post by lelec2 »

Hi, I’m Emanuele from Italy.
I have already introduced myself in the bullwhip section, I am a whip collector and an aspiring whipmaker.
My mother has been working in the leather industry for over 30 years and for a long time I wanted to create an Indiana Jones style jacket with her help. Finally I've done it!
It's made of high quality leather and the craftmanship is worthy of Wested.
Of course it's only a test, a sample that I made for myself, although if my jacket raises enough interested I might consider creating more "on demand".

I'm planning to make a test sample with vintage leather soon enough
I leave you with some pictures for now.
The jacket is an LC style and sheepskin.
I hope you enjoy it.
Many thanks.

VERY nice jacket! But for LC, the storm flap needs snaps at the top and bottom, and the collar stand is configured wrong. Otherwise, it's absolutely gorgeous! Ohh, I can almost smell the new leather scent now! =P~

Very nice! The darn thing looks just like a Wested, except for the square-er pockets! Your Mother did a great job!

Vintage/distressed leather would be interesting to see.

anybody else get a chuckle when they read this?

Great first effort! Leather looks butter soft! I have an Italian leather car-coat, and you'd swear that it was the softest leather on the planet!

As mentioned the storm flap needs some snaps, but it is a great jacket worthy of praise.

Very nice! I agree about the collar stand and buttons though. It isn't LC without the buttons.

Well done...but will this jacket have the Italian cut? High armholes, slim sleeves and slim body? If so, I think an Italian indy would be a great alternative to the other jackets out there...

lelec2, have you been exchanging any ideas with Peter at Wested Leather on this project? I see through his facebook account that he's been fairly active on the Italian Indy fan site of late. :-k

Just curious. Great looking prototype! :M:

Regards! Michaelson
