Hi guys and gals out there in COW land!

I have a little dilema on my hands and want to know your opinion.

I currently have an 8' whip on order from our very own G-Roberts of Midlands Whips, but I haven't quite made up my mind on what style I want (and the clock is ticking!).

I've got it boiled down to either an LC or a TOD, but, I just can't decide!

I really like the thicker thong of the LC whips, but, I also REALLY like the long tapered handle of the TOD's.
Now should I just choose one, or, should I choose a hybrid that combines my favorite features?

Please help me decide by casting your vote above!
(Also, if anyone out there has one of Graemes TOD's, could you please post a photo).

I had the same decision problem as you when I was deciding which whip to get from Graeme. I really like the thicker thong of the LC whips, and I also like the TOD whips. I went back and forth on it until I decided on getting the LC. Also, he gives his LC whips a little taper in the handle, but probably not as much as his TOD.

Either way you go it will look great! A combination of the two sounds great as well. I'd like to see how that looks.

I voted hybrid, because i think you should get what you want, and it sounds like thats what you want

oh, and dont forget to post pics when you've recieved it later on

I was dead set on a Hybrid, but seeing that beautiful LC Graeme made for you, I started having trouble making my up my mind!

I believe you are right. Why not go with the best of both? (Screw SA, I want MY whip! )
And don't worry, I'll make sure to post plenty of pics when it arrives (as long as "plenty" equals 6 or less pics )

Congrats on your decision kwad, I´m sure you will be delighted. You are indeed correct I am awaiting wares from Mr. Roberts. I´m going to go with what I got last time: Raiders 10 ft natural tan (Check out his avatar, it´s my other whip!) I was toying with the idea of saddle tan, but I love to watch the changes in colors. When I get mine I´ll post side by side pics of both so you can see the contrast!

Unfortunately, my finance mangager (aka Mrs. Kwad) does not.

Sorry to make your decision harder. A hybrid of the two sound very nice. Or you could also get both. I was even thinking of a hybrid when deciding on my whip. Please post pictures once you receive it!

By the way, what color are you getting it in?

I'm getting mine in natural. I want it to age on it's own.

It sure is a beauty! Graeme's work is very good. I did the same and got mine in natural to let it age on it's own. My LC is ageing nicely. It's gotten a bit darker. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

I like the thicker thong in the LC whips, which is closer to my ideal Morgan bullwhip (not necessarily a SA Indy bulll). And I don't really like the taper in the handle of the TOD whips. But to each his own!

I'm certain you will make the right choice, kwad.

I posted some new pics of my LC.

I've posted pictures before but here is a shot of my hybrid. I don't think Louie purposefully based on an Indy whip perhaps it's more of a later Morgan but notice the taper in the handle and the think strands. I think it's a bit TOD and LC. Very Indy

Matter of fact, when trying to describe the whip I wanted to Graeme, I sent him a picture of it.

If you don't mind my asking, where is the transition knot located on the handle?

Just below the end of the spike, following the later Morgan pattern.
