And I wanted to say "Hi"! :D

I finaly ordered my Wested ToD jacket and a pair of Alden's.
I can't wait!

I did have a question. Has anyone here used any of the Kiwi shoe products on their Aldens?

Actually,

I've used Kiwi on my Aldens for years.... when I was in the Marine Corps, Kiwi was all I used. Some folks used Lincoln, but I've only seen Lincoln in black, whereas Kiwi comes in brown, black, etc. So, I use brown Kiwi....

Now, I have to admit, I've only recently found here again, and never actually thought about if there was something better, or if there was a problem with using Kiwi..... good question.

I have to admit, it's done a good job darkening down my Aldens from their orangy color. They're much more brownish now.

FWIW....

I tried KIWI at first but they kept needing a reshine ever time they got scuffed up so thats when I went to the complete redye method.

Oh, welcome aboard!

Welcome Randy, you'll enjoy the company here. Like another member said, you're among like minds here.

Anyway, I use the Kiwi brown shoe polish on my JCrew and it did darken it quite a bit. I like it.

Hi and welcome!

I also use brown Kiwi on my boots and it works a treat. The only thing it doesn't cover are deeper scuffs, but there are other products on the market to deal with those.

Hey, getting your Jacket and your Aldens the same time should be a blast! :D

What kind of jacket did you opt for anyway, just out of interest?

Regards

Alan

Thanks everyone!

I picked up a ToD jacket in authentic brown lambskin with cotton body/satin sleeves lining (I would like to see pic if this lining). I like my jackets a little below my waist.
