PBB Global Logistics

Here's one for you--PBB Global Logistics just charged me $1.62...that's right...one dollar and sixty two cents for a Wested Raiders returned to me after an alteration. I just thought it was strange that it was so low...probably cost them 10 times more in labor and mail to send the bill than the bill itself. Sort of brings to mind the old adag
e, "They've lost all control of the dollars, so they are micro-managing the pennies." Bizarre!

What are trying to do? Jinkx us!
Keep that piece of paper what ever you do! Do not loose
it!!
If PBB does their usual misguided ways with you, you will
receive a higher bill in about a month or so. They will
then try to get the other 20 or so dollars from you. But if
you have your paperwork, including the customs documents
you had to fill out when you sent the jacket back to Peter, saying
it was going back for "alerations", you can waive your
low bill in their face and say, see, I paid it.
Although, even if you have the papers, they might keep hounding you
with phone calls and letters saying you own them money.
Thats what is happening with me now. I keep telling them
that unless they can show me where I signed for, in person,
this last bill, then I am not paying it. I tell them that I can
send them all the documentation stating that I returned a
jacket to Peter for "alterations", and I should not be billed
again for the customs fees. This shuts them up for about
two months. Then I get another letter or phone call saying
I owe them money. And I tell them about the papers again. I
guess its our little way of saying we love each other.
Be prepared. Your PBB trials have just started now that
you jinxed it...

Hey Guys, I got my first ever Wested last week and I'm loving it... but as expected, PBB strikes again! Just for comparison of notes, my bill amounts to:
U.S. CUSTOMS DUTY (EST.) $13.68
DISBURSEMENT/ADVANCING OF FUNDS $7.50
TOTAL: US$21.18
As you guys have all mentioned before in another post, I shall pay PBB my hush money and hopefully this is the last I hear of them ever.
I'm putting my bill amount here for future reference, in case anyone else gets a higher charge or something. It sure ***** to have to pay some firm in NY wanton money just for advancing my hobby.

$21.18 seems to be the going amount of the PBB bill. At least
thats what everyone that I have talked to said theirs was. So
join the club!!
Just for fun you could always call them and ask what the bill
is for, and why there is no proof of delivery by a required
signature of a person 14 years old or older of the house it was
delivered too. You can badger them to show you proof that the
package was placed at the correct location via this signature.
Then you can call customs and ask them whats going on, because
they require items entering into the U.S. to be signed for by the
person they are addressed to.
You can do this like I do, or not. Its up to you. Me, personally,
I like to harrass people like that, and telemarketers. When I get
one on the phone, I always ask them if they have enough life
insurance, and if their family could pay for their passing on to the
other life, and whether their families are covered. Then I start
to talk about prices (This is all fake of course. I am not an
insurance salesman, but its fun to pretend) and they get off
the phone pretty quick.

I got a bill for 4 something for a "repair" to my Wested. They charged me duty on the SHIPPING I paid Peter. The invoice from Peter was quite clear: ZERO for alterations and 20.00 for shipping. PBB saw a 20.00 charge and automatically charged me on it. I called them and they took it off the system.
Now I get a bill for another purchase (an Indy bust) and the put a "mask" in the description which is correct, but the vendor .......... WESTED LEATHER! I haven't had anything come through from Peter for about 4 months. Now I need to call them and have THIS corrected. I wonder if they have monkey's working for them?

Isn't there a saying that if you put a million monkeys in a room
with a million typewritters they will eventually type out all the
greatest novels ever written?
I guess PBB must have a room full of some of these monkeys like you
said. They must figure that if they put 100 monkeys in a room
with a hundred workstations, that eventually they will write a
bill to every person in the United States.
I know I got mine already...

Isn't putting 'PBB Global', and the word 'Logistics' in the same sentence a oxymoron?

Good one!

P.S I think when a monkey fails to be able to squeeze money from people, they use their heads for a dessert platter. Monkey brains anyone?

PBB has finally left me alone, after refusing to pay the $21.18. I wrote two letters to PBB, and one (over the course of a month and a half) to their collection agency. Im pretty sure they have given up!! In the last letter I wrote that I had consulted legal advice, and that my legal advisor had told me, (which I wrote it the letter) "that PBB cannot demand payment for services without a contract, or a request [from me] for services. Since there is neither in this case, I do not owe any money". (Neither a signed contract, or a request from me for their services) This is after I wrote a letter requesting paperwork with my signature on it asking PBB to step in and get my jacket out of customs. If anyone needs clarification on this just let me know!
Good Luck,
I J
