Nothing like a new Wested

I bought my first wested back in January and loved it. I said to myself this was the last jacket I would ever need. Well I just got the second one and she looks great. It is a great feeling when you get a peice of gear in the mail. I was able to learn from my first measuring how a wested would fit. I just added an inch here and there and this one fits perfect. The first time I orderd a goat LC. I felt goat would hold up the best. Little did I know I would want to distress it. It has not been an easy process but it is going well. This one is a LC pre-distressed cow. I feared it would be to light but it is the perfect color. I could not be happier. To one month exactly from the confirmation e-mail. Now if only my Peter Bros. fedora would get here.

Hi indianakenobi
Great stuff
And for the third wested, I recommend an authentic lambskin
Seriously, I have a lamb and love it dearly - it's a great leather and I find the new, thicker lambskin very durable indeed, contrary to some reports here on COW. It breaks in beautifully too and certainly distresses well, by all accounts, although mine is relatively new.
However, I have recently ordered a Wested (wouldn't shop anywhere else for an Indy!) authentic goatskin, which I too have tweaked and adjusted.
Why both Last Crusade models? My lamb is a temple and the new goat is an original raiders, with mods. I'm guessing LC is your movie of choice?
Regards,
Alan

I perfer the LC model because I felt it would look better on me because it was longer. I am 6'2 and 170lbs so it is hard to find a jacket thats fit so well and looks good. LC is my movie of choice because it is the only one I saw in the theatre (i am only 24) and I liked the father and son aspect. He wasn't after a artifact, he was after something far more valuable, his dad. As for the next jacket I was thinking about a FS, but if it is not a custom fit I fear it may not like right. I have long arms so with a wested that is not a problem. My disney jaket I got in 1999 was that way. I wanted the large because it fit my body but the arms were to short. I ended up with a XL. The arms are long enought but the body is way to loose. I don't want this to happen with a FS.

Ah the curse of the tall lanky person, I know it well.
I'm 6'2" and 188 so I'm in the same category. I look forward to getting my Wested not just because of Indy but because I'll finally get a piece of clothing that fits correctly!!!
