Indiana Jones pants... which do you prefer?

Post by IndyMaster »

Which style of Indy pants would you prefer? Magnoli or Wested. (I'm still doing this for my friend.)

It all depends on what you're willing to spend. If price is no issue, I would definitely go with Magnoli. Well actually I would go with NH if you can find some. I have both Wested, NH, and Magnoli and since NH is almost impossible to get anymore, I would definitely go with Magnoli. The material and pattern are pretty hard to beat.

I dislike the way the Wested pants taper at the bottom of the leg, and cling to you. Magnoli gets my vote!

I would say Magnoli right now, however I do have a pair of Wested pants and they do nicely. I just ordered a pair of Magnoli's pants in the Vintage brown he sourced not that long ago. Looks about as dead on a color as far as screen accuracy goes, and the pattern Magnoli is the most SA pattern I have seen. Your choice really, the Vintage brown Magnoli pants I ordered are more than what I paid for my wested's but I could ask for anything I wanted regarding size, etc. from Magnoli. The choice is yours, really.

How's Magnoli's material compared to Wested?
I've got a pair of Wested pants, and find them to be slighty itchy...I'm guessing because of the wool. Definitely not something I'd want to wear when it's hot outside!

It can't only be because it's wool. I had a pair of Westeds, which I found rather itchy. But I have a pair of Noel Howards that are not. Yet, they appear to be made of very similar material, with the same weave. No experience with Magnoli's wool, though. :(

I own a pair of Wested and I like them! Yes like others have said a little itchy but for the money they are worth it. I took my pair to my local Nordstroms and had them hemmed. When I have some extra cash I'll buy a pair of Magnoils.

Here is a photo of mine.
