What does going on the block for aging mean?

I ordered my hat from Adventurebilt in late Oct '08 for $400 after searching the web for "Indy" hats. I was not a COW member. The hat was for my anniversary that Nov. which I made clear in my order. I was told my hat would go on the block for agng once I gave my correct head measurements. I emailed the correct measurement (22-5/8) and that was the last I heard of it. After this I came across COW and read about the history of Steve's business and the price increases over the past few years. I never saw the "actual" post for the increase to $400 dollars. When did that happen, can anyone point me to it? I seem to remember reading that the higher prices and "special" occasions got you your hat sooner. Steve's emails made me feel like my hat was going to be a priority order. I've emailed and PM'd Steve numerous times and never get a response. I had a hat made by Penman Hats in Nov. '09 and confirmed my head measurement and also that I have a long oval. I emailed this info to AB at that time and got no response. Can someone clarify to me if I should have received my hat by now? I'm a patient guy and if I mis-interpreted the emails and what I've read, then I can live with that.

It appears it happened officially on December 19, 2007.
The site price is already up and increased to the new price of $400. The COW discount is still good for members, until May 22. At that time, the discounted price will only be for my customers who have done business with me. The COW discount would have been good for right at 4 years, and if you did not take advantage of it in those years, there is no one to blame but yourself.

But I expect to have an accurate factory AB available, with no lead times by the time the film premiers, which should make an accurate and good quality Indy fedora available at a price everyone can afford. New folks who want exactly what we made for the film will have to shuck out more money, but in return you are getting a clone of the last Indy fedora, which should be worth more than a knockoff. And this will allow me to make fewer hats, which is what I want to do. Working 7 days a week is not something I will always be able to do, as I am no spring chicken. Fedora
