Bags, Boots, Shirts and all other gear should be discussed here.

I saw several there in the last month or so. Anyone know who makes them, and how durable they are? Thanks. Fedora

Hi Fedora,

If you are referring to the shirts I think you are, they are being sold by a company called CostumeBase.
I bought one a while back, and it's not bad for a "close enough" shirt.

Construction and materials used are decent, but, a lot of the little details are a bit off.
Mine fits well in the chest and shoulders, but is cut a little too full in the waist for me.
It took about 6 weeks for delivery as it was being shipped from Thailand (If I'm remembering correctly).

All in all, not a bad shirt for $25 + S&H.

I bought one too. It is indeed a close enough shirt, just not as close enough as I wanted it. Definetly not as close as Magnoli or Wested!

There's no way I would (or could) compare the Costumebase offering to a Magnoli shirt.
The Costumebase shirt is mass produced in Asia with a sticker price of $25, while the Magnoli is custom tailored at $99.

The Magnoli Shirt is definately superior in all ways, however, it is also at a different price point.

I bought one of the Costumebase shirts and it fits me perfectly! 100% cotton poplin too so breathes well. I've ordered another one as I was so happy with it, and the price is great too!
I don't have the budget for a Magnoli or a Wested so I am very happy and it's "close enough" for me.

Joe, I'm right there with ya'.
I'm completely content with my purchase and would buy another, should the need arise (like perhaps a ToD bridge scene outfit...)
I'd definately recommend one to anyone on a budget who is looking for a decent Indy style shirt.

I just wish mine fit a little better in the mid-section, but, I guess that's why God invented tailors..... ;)

By the way, how do you like the denim Wested.
I have been seriously eyeing one lately (Wifey even gave me the go ahead).

I really like the denim Wested. For an "off the rack" it fits me very well and is very light and breathable, so it's great for when it's too hot to wear a leather jacket. I'd definitely recommend getting one!

Jayrobinson,

The shirt in the first link looks identical to the Costumebase shirt.

I bet it is a CostumeBase shirt. Short epalets, clear buttons.......
My shirt came with no labels at all (not even a size tag).
