Magnoli made up an Indy jacket for me made of the tan canvas, like cotton 'duck' material, and it's fantastic. I wear it all the time with my hats, and I don't feel like I'm walking around in a costume! I gotta get time to post some pictures. No disappointments with Indy (Magnoli, that is).

Out of curiosity, what kind of quote is involved for a custom job like that? Feel free to not answer or PM if you like. I ask because I love the Indy jacket style, and I would love to get a Wested denim, but Westeds are too short for me. A custom canvas or other material Indy jacket would be great!

That looks awesome!

Being north of 17" myself, I can empathize, but what a feeling to be wearing a quality jacket that fits perfectly rather than a 'make do, off the shelf' jobbie that assumes that just cos you're big up top, you're big round the waist.

It'll be interesting to see this on a guy of 'girth' - Used to seeing Wolvie from the movies wearing it and he's more the athletic physique.

Can't wait to see more shots of it :)

Well - uh - while I do not have the washboard Jackman may have at 7% bodyfat, I'm pretty sure my build would qualify as "athletic"... Guy of girth? Ok.... :-k Petty sure something got lost in the translation of our common language...

Well okay...I see what you mean.....by 'girth' I was going for a subtle way of saying 'bodybuilder physique'......why I did that...I don't know. #-o.....I always consider the 'athletic' physique as the type you'd get on a track runner etc....You hardly ever get track runners with 20" plus arms.......but, I know bodybuilders are also athletes....so sorry for using the wrong words. :#:

Well, thanks - but I was being a puss...

I did have an "Origins" moment when I first sat on the above referenced Indian. The shocks need replacing, and I do tip in at 265-270, albiet at a 12% bodyfat. I got two sets of three at 605 on the bench press Monday. Been lifting heavy for about 6 months longer than I usually get away with every year - wiating for the other shoe to drop and either stall of hurt something. But, been able to add about 10 lbs per month. Was working out with 550 at Christmas and was happy with it. Serendipity?

But - to tie it together - I've sorta outgrown the TN-CS. It is definitely a very trim fit now. Figured I have to stall or just stop growing for a year or so soon - so it seemed like a good time to invest in a couple of these jackets. I'll definitely put out pics when I can.
What kind of supplements do you take; protein, creatine, etc.?

Looks like a neat jacket...Did you ask Mags to put the orange on the outside of the bi-swing gusstes instead of the inside like the movie jacket?

I should have a custom wrapped up soon for guy 5'9", 56"chest, 46"waist, 23" neck... should make for some cool pics.

my sister squated 600, benched 429 @ the arnold classic a couple years back...she is 155# @ 5'3". That's a lot of commendable training for those extreme weights, congrats on your progress!
Coffe is for prior to the workout. ;)

P- yep, she wore the full gear doing those numbers... if your are liking a regular comp shirt like that you'll go way farther in a true lift shirt, but it will be like starting out w/ new technique as I'm sure you already know. It really focuses your technique to use perfect form.

Once I get back from the hospital this week I should have that for you... but you had asked for an XO, not a big deal since as the sizing will already be set the X1 is $50 less than the XO.

word to the wise , just be careful...........

Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID), Oral; Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID), Parenteral

What key warnings should I know about before taking this medicine?
This medicine may increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and high blood pressure. This has been observed with long-term use or at critical times (right after heart surgery). Use caution if you have risk factors for heart disease (high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight, diabetes, cigarette smoking, male older than 40 years of age, other family members with early heart disease, postmenopausal female).

This medicine may increase the risk of ulcer or bleeding from the stomach or intestines. Talk with healthcare provider.

Beat me to it Hatch. It's pretty clear that most standard NSAIDs suffer similar risks... except probably naproxen (Aleve). That might be the best compromise if cardiovascular risk is an issue. In meta-analyses, naproxen continues to look pretty clean.

It looks great, but I look forward to seeing it on. The cuffs look kinda large in the one pic but it's probably the angle of the shot. I particularly like the shading/texture of the yellow leather - very nice highlights.

The jacket looks great, but... I detest anything to do with Wolverine or X-Men. Bland superhero pap; they are tawdry films and I apologise (as an Aussie) for everything Hugh Jackman has done. That said, _ generally has great taste and really helps this site along and he's bigger than me, so I'll shut my mouth...

And I already know how so many of you here and on other jacket sites love this jacket and the film it's from. I'm sorry for you. ;) and I know I'm a minority.

Thats a sweet jacket, I liked X-men 1 and 2.

Also Hugh Jackman is in The Prestige, a Christopher Nolan movie if you haven't seen it that is pretty darn good. Definitely the best thing Jackman has done in my opinion, that I have seen.

Hey Ian,

We had a mis-q on an important measurement. Completely my fault. Magnoli took it back and they're refitting. I believe it'll be shipping in a few days.

As to my snafu? I misstated torso length - by about 8 inches. Ya know those women's jackets that are really short? Yeah...

....and you didn't take any shots of that?

I guess then that 8" isn't enough raise a question during the contract review, when compared to the other sizes?

At least it's been made un-fubar now. :D

Look forward to seeing the shots. :TOH:

Easily done, though. :(

Aside from the shortness, it really is a great jacket. The fit looks great around the shoulders, chest and upper arm. :D

I'm not confident enough just yet to put total faith in my own measurements and send them off to someone like Magnoli. The results would be far worse, I'm sure. :( A few more practice runs with Wested, I think. ;)

Well this is exactly what the jacket maker is there to step in for...their experience should tell them something is way off. Someone with a 27-28" back length at 6'2" plus should never have an 18" front length in this jacket. Good for Magnoli on fixing the error in the new jacket being made, but it really shouldn't have been stitched together with the 18" front in the first place. Waiting until you got back from vacation to suggest some better fitting dimensions might've been the better route... but it will be good to see a proper fitting jacket on you. I agree that is does look like it may be a good fit in the chest and shoulder from the side shot, but without a straight on front it is hard to really totally make sure of that.
Did you have him adjust anything else after your test fitting of the first jacket?
