Indy City Outfits
Hallo guys,
In these days I'm completing my various projects for the Indy outfits, that I find so interesting as well as his adventure gear. I've already posted here some shots of my Marshall College from Raiders, and in the future I'd like to do other 'concept-photos', inspired by the other Indy outfits and their related scenes in the movies.
First to go on and chose the next one, I'd love to share this with you and know how is your favourite set of clothes and suits from all the four movies. What do you think?

I voted Venice, but at the same place I put the outfit used at Donovan's apartment.
Re: Indy City Outfits
The Barnett College with the great LC hat added to the ensemble, wow! very 'business-man' styleBazzanoJones wrote:I voted Venice, but at the same place I put the outfit used at Donovan's apartment.

I know it's one of the tweedy ones, but I always get them confused.

Re: Indy City Outfits
I'm a sucker for a double-breasted jackets so Washington has always been my favorite suit. I think too because after watching Indy get all banged up, he's back to his city clothes.
The CS wedding suit is second. I like the idea of having a lighter color from the usual navy/grey/black suits generally worn.
I'm not a fan at all of the train station/chase outfit. I think the jacket has too much grey undertone to work with the brown trousers.
Regards,
Indiana Jeff

Re: Indy City Outfits
OK, I'll play. All IMHO:
M.C.'36 - nice suit but a bit dowdy; where's the hat?
Seaplane/Washington - Great suit; wrong hat.
COW - great tux. TUX . . .
Pankot - goin' diggin' outfit with tweed coat and tie. Emergency dress clothes only
Barnett College - Best city outfit: Great cut, great color, goes great with THE hat
Venice - nice oufit, but a bit non-descript. Could be from 30s-50s at a glance
CS Train/Chase - confused version of Venice look
Wedding - Pretty good suit, but so out of place that cool factor is zero
Barnett wins hands down

yeah, but you gotta love the bow tie...gives Indy that 'nerdy' professor thing...which is part of the coolness: the Clark Kent/Superman dichotomy

Yeah, while I voted the Washington/Clipper suit and hat, I am a sucker for bow ties, for this exact reason. In fact, I learned how to tie a bow tie and started wearing them because of Indy.Adirondack Jones wrote:yeah, but you gotta love the bow tie...gives Indy that 'nerdy' professor thing...which is part of the coolness: the Clark Kent/Superman dichotomy

Honey, I think the one that you like is the Barnett College/Last Crusade suit.Chewbacca Jones wrote:I know it's one of the tweedy ones, but I always get them confused.
Myself, even though I love all of the non Indy outfits listed, I will always love the Marshall College suit from the Raiders classroom scene.
Re: Indy City Outfits
Me too! It was the first time Indy was presented to the audience as Prof. Jones..and you begin to understand better and deeper the character..his goofy reaction to the girls attentions..unforgettable!Canyon wrote:

Re: Indy City Outfits
I'm probably the odd man out here but I voted for the Train scene. I like the suit combo when Indy is getting on the train in CS. However it was a tough choice between CS and the LC combo with his fedora.

I like the CS train outfit too! But I see the marshall college is winning over any other. Also, I think the various style of suits are appropriate to the different Indy ages.

My vote definetly has to go to Indy's white dinner jacket, even if only because it so prominently echoes one of my all-time favorite movie characters, Rick Blaine!
