This has been frustrating! But COW came to the rescue!

Bags, Boots, Shirts and all other gear should be discussed here.

This has been frustrating! But COW came to the rescue!

There's a CS backpack that's been listed on that auction site for awhile now, but the seller won't ship to Canada. In fact they won't even answer my messages. Shipping is free in the US.

It's gone to a "Buy it Now" or "Best Offer" asking $149.99 - which is WAY too much. The original auction started at $49.99 and I'd like to make an offer (up to $60.00). If someone could get it for me I'll gladly reimburse you and pay for shipping (PayPal) to forward it to me. If your need for a pack is greater than mine that's fine too.

It's listed as "vtg Canvas & Leather Mountain Camping Rucksack Backpack"

Thanx,

LJ

ya eBay is funny that way

I had a friend make an offer on an item that said it shipped to North and South America.

When the friend inquired to shipping costs to Canada, the seller sent a really snotty letter saying that he doesn't sell to Canada, just North and South America

At first we figured that he thought Canada was in Europe or something - No! he thought North America was, like, New York, Jersey, Maine etc., and South America was the Southern States!!

Try asking Jens. He usually gets them by the bundle. That's how I got mine.

Long John,

Having gone through the backpack search back in the beginning, I'd gladly pick this up for you.

PM sent with details.

This is what "Come for the gear, stay for the people" means. Riothamus was able to get this bag for me and I can't speak too highly of him. Kept in contact with me all through the process and shows that COW is the exception to Groucho's famous dictum "I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member"!

Thanx Rio, you're good people.

Check with Jens, he is the most reliable source, otherwise try obsessively searching auction sites until it starts to seriously interfere with your COW time.
