Club Obi Wan

I was just wondering if its at all possible to plait my own fire whip? what kind of materials would i need besides the obvious?

here is what i have in mind let me know if i am missing something
1 foot aluminum pipe
4-6 feet kevlar rope core
300 ft or so of flat kevlar for plaiting
kevlar thread
kevlar twine
kevlar falls

mind you not that i am doing this anytime soon or that i have any of this stuff. its just one of those random ideas that pop in my head and i wanted to catch this one before it flew off. if i did make one i would probably plait something you cant find anywhere like a 12 footer or something!

Hi, my friend made kevlar whip. But he didn't plait it
He bought kevlar stripes and kevlar ropes in two different sizes. He attached the thinner rope to the handle, then remove core from wider rope and put the outer layer of it on the thinner rope to make some taper, sewed them together using kevlar thread that he took from the stripes (he unstiched it), then attached the fall and cracker and voila!
It's cheaper than plaiting the whip, because of cost of kevlar. It's quiet expensive here in Poland.
