in gear..

so here it is for those who wanted to see this jacket with the rest of the gear. I know its been 2 years almost.. but hey, better late then never..

I dont have LC gear so I just put on the good'ol Raiders gear...

Ah, the return of Lego "Holt hands". That really looks good - great proportions. Needs to get scuffed up a bit. Call the military and see if they need anyone to take their tanks for a walk.

Love the jacket!! That collar is perfect! Remind me what it is.

Also, what pants are those, Holt?

the pants are LL beans. Taupe ( I think its spelled like that)

Holt, I like that collar. Did you request the collar at a uniform width (I don't mean thickness) all the way around? It doesn't look tapered, which I believe to be part of a key to a proper LC collar. (The other part is the taller collar stand).

yep. I think mine is the only wested LC that has this type of anchoring. (at leadt the one's Ive seen around here) wested makes them with Xbox's. thats wrong.

what is changed on their current LC/CS jacket.

the collar and collar tips.
the pockets, flaps and placement.
the backpanel ( a more V shape backpanel)
the straps and placement
the non stitched hem
the sleeves ( added .5'' in the upper sleeve to get that realy baggy upper arm like the original)

what do you guys think of the length?

The big mystery here is why Wested doesn't incorporate most of these changes into their basic pattern. I don't think this would be hard to do for the majority of these changes and it would result in a more SA jacket without people having to go through all of the spec work.

Why the #*#* doesn't Wested just use those specs? Why do they still give us a CS type jacket when you order a LC?

Lovely looking jacket. But what's with the hat? The crown is so tall it's like Abraham Lincoln's stove pipe.

I wouldn't know an LC hat from a Raiders hat anyway, since I am not interested in the Indy costume, just the jacket. My point was simply that in those photos the crown on that hat looks HUGE.

well, its the correct crown height for raiders.

Holt - That stove-pipe looks the correct height to me... Anyone wanting to see a tall crown can glance at my Christy's!

Nice jacket Holt! Looks great in the shapes for an LC, but goes with your Raiders gear excellently due to the color... Perfect Hybrid outfit to wear a jacket with an identity crisis.

As the posing... You should have had a finishing shot of that kick you seemed about to deliver. BTW I use the same pants, and that magic waistband is great for those kinds of full range movements isn't it?
