Wested ToD Leather Type?

Hello! Starting to scheme about a Wested ToD jacket...does anyone have any insight into what the best leather would be? Most screen accurate? Which would stand up best to the elements?

Here are the options:

Authentic Brown Lamb
Authentic Dk Lamb
Authentic Brown Goat
Authentic Brown Washed Goat

I prefer a darker brown coat.

Also, is the design of the ToD coat a bit longer than a Raiders style?

Auhentic brown lamb is apparently the closest to the jacket.

If you want something more durable go with one of the goat

What is the difference between Authentic Brown Goat and the Washed Goat? Is the goat a darker brown?

The authentic brown goat would meet two of the criteria, for durability and the need for a dark brown jacket. Screen accurate, lamb would be the choice. Length is determined by what length you prefer the jacket to be. Two glaring features of the ToD jacket is the lower yoke and smaller pockets.

I agree. I think the authentic goat would suit your needs.

While the lamb is more screen accurate, the goat is more durable! Personally I love my washed goat but while it looks more 'worn' than the others, it is a bit lighter so it wouldn't meet your requirement for a darker jacket!

The other side to it is that you might have a soft goathide jacket and even after 10 years, it still doesn't look distressed.
