Snagged this one off of an auction site this morning. 98% finish, excellent bore and mechanics. More pics when she comes in.

Alright, I'll spill the beans. As most of you know, I loaned Wade my WG to make molds for his resin casts. This partnership has worked out great, but due to the molds wearing out over time, it would be REALLY helpful to Wade if he could keep the WG permanently. In addition, the WG had a timing issue and was refinished, neither of which was an issue for Wade, but I wanted one that was in shooting condition and in the original finish. So I've been patiently waiting for the right opportunity. It struck this morning. Hence the new WG, and Wade's glee.

Enjoy YOUR WG Wade! Take good care of the old gal.

You gotta love those 'win win' situations!

Now, you just need to make a YouTube video of you firing that bad boy for us! I've only seen them firing a MKVI so far.

BTW, the gentleman I purchased this from is a serious collector. He has sold several WGs in the past couple of years, and still has several in his collection. I told him if he ever felt the need to sell another, PLEASE contact me first. He also has a couple of S&W 2nd Model HEs currently on sale, one in still in .455, one shaved to .45.

Thanks Rook :TOH:

Anyway, the WG came in today and she's a beaut:

Overall, I'd say there are a few more blemishes than I had expected (I'd rate it at 96% instead of the 98% advertised), but the overall finish is mirror crisp. And the action is factory crisp; I mean there is absolutely no cylinder wiggle at all, and the barrel is almost pristine. Can't wait to go to the range, as soon as I can afford the ammo ($1.00 per shot  ). May have to break into handloading.

Thread cleaned up at the originator's request. Let's keep things civil and respect one's right to purchase privacy.
