Hey all have not posted any of my new work in a while so I figured that it was due time. Here is a picture of one of my resent cowhide Indy Style whip. (weight issue has been taken care of due to previous whips being a little on the light side) Still needs to be shellacked and cracker added.
Let me know what you all think, this one is 10ft long.
Keep Crackin,
James

I like it too.
The point of the whip is very thin, how thick is it?

TenuredProfessor - Yep yours will look very close to that.
tomek9210 - the width of it is about .25in or 6.5mm what ever measurement you are looking for. It is the standard width of the raiders style whip.

I see a video in you tube with a guy using a whip made for you. I see a few times this video and I like the aparence of your whip, it's very dense, more strong than David Morgan whip using in the video to.

It's the same whip i this topic?

Hey James
Whip looks great! What were the weight issues? How much do your whips weigh now?
Thanks!

Thanks for posting that vid, Gaucho
! My 10' footer from James should be arriving in a couple weeks, and seeing that footage is making the wait excruciating! I'd agree that it seems to pack more of a punch than the Morgan, too. Awesome work, James!

Thanks guys for all the kind words, I have been working hard to give my Indy cowhides the weight, look and feel of a Morgan.
IndianaBravo - The weight on previous whips was a little on the light side, they are now closer to the Morgan weight.
I hope to have some more pictures of these whips up soon.

James

Here is a new one that I just finished. It is more of a modern style Morgan.
Let me know what you guys think.

Great whip man,
I want mine to look like that! LOL
Is the plaiting tight? I forgot where, but I heard it wasn't as tight as some other whips. Must of been one of the earlier whips.

Yes Nick yours should look very similar to that. As for the plaiting my whips have always been plaited very tight, you are most likely thinking of the previous whips being a little on the light side, new ones are heavier. Plaiting tightness has never been an issue.
