I am aware that we have several threads about Indy's gear and our personal "Indy Gear". We also discussed the various shades of our own pieces of wardrobe and gear inspired by Indy and the classic great adventure. Since I was asked about my "working" gear several times lately, I thought I post this rather here than writing the one or other PM.

First I have to say, that I am - like anybody else around here - a huge Indy fan and always admired his gear. Over time I have woven my own style into Indy's gear and I always tried to give every single piece a "practical" function and reason (maybe that's why I still do not have a bullwhip, but I'm trying to convince myself).

Anyway, here's a part of the stuff I use at an every day basis these days being part of an excavation expedition in the Jordanian desert:



Hat: Akubra Federation (re-bashed by Marc), a bit dusty now
Jacket: Wested Raiders Horsehsie (with some personal specifications)
Shirt: AdventureBilt
Pants: German Army BDU (old version)
Boots: rugged "vintage" style army boots (made from patterns from the 40s)
Gloves: "Tschibo" (a German brand usually selling coffee (Mark! ), but also some pieces of gardening equipment, casual fashion etc.)
Keffiyeh: British Army Shemagh
Gunbelt: by IndyK with Noel Howards buckle
Holster: AB special unique trowel holster
Trowel: (for those of you fieldworking colleagues out there) Marshalltown
Goggles any snow goggles (good against desert sand as well)

Jens, you certainly have a way of making the gear your own--a trait worthy of emulation.

But I'm wonder with your Marshalltown archaeology trowel if you went with the London Style or the Philadelphia Style. It's not only the jackets and hats that vary.

It's the Philadelphia style one - imho better to reach the corners.

Trowels, that's great! I've been reading about these trowels because I wanted to take it with me on hikes. I like how you use it in place of the gun. Which AB made the holster, AB UK or US?

AB DK, so to say. It was made by Kim (K on the run) here on my special request. He also makes pretty impressing gun holsters ...
