Hi guys,
Ok, the moment has arrived.
I'm a COW member since a year, and is now the time for me to buy my first
WHIP.
I like it very much but I know so little about it. I obviously did some search for video tutorial etc. But I ask your
great help as always, to chose the right
movie styles. I still can't resemble the correct differences.
I'll do it in 8ft, and seem to me that the correct color is tan. but I can't chose from Raiders and Last Crusade style.
Thank you guys!
Steerpike

Those styles depends on time they were created. Raiders whips are slimmer, have almost untapered handles (1980s era), and the LC whips were a bit thicker (late 80s). Check out Bernardo del Carpio's site, he has got great comparison between them. Just choose wisely

Hi Speerpike,
There are loads of whip makers out there offering their interpretations of the Raiders and Crusade whips and I'm one of em. Look around and do the research, its all part of the fun. You will have a better idea of what you want the more you search, "Trust me" And another thing is what is your favorite Indy movie? And what gear do you have most of? Either Raiders Doom Crusade? That might help too

Hi,
I think the best advice is to take your time and not rush the research. This will familiarize you with all the different styles, the differences between styles and whipmakers and in the end, you will just be happier with your choice. A well informed shopper, is a happy one.
Ciao ragazzo!
