Yowsa! :o That has got to be one of the nicest WG's I've ever seen for sale - I'd almost be afraid to fire it, it's in such great condition ( but you will, right? I mean, come on - it's a moral imperative! :D ). Image

Of course I'll shoot it. Why own a firearm you can't fire? 8)

AWESOME! And it's SA too. ;) you probably know this already, but have the gun checked out first before firing it. You don't want to blow up your investment piece. :Dietrich:

It may not be screen accurate, as this gun looks way too nice to have been on a production. You'll have to beat it up and scratch it a little. LOL!

What a find. The pics are beautiful.

Enjoy your WG, but remeber that it is a black powder cartridge firearm. Loading data for the .455 is available. GOex or black powder subs are the best bet. Keep your pressures low and you should be fine!

Thanks for the reminders. My local gun shop specializes in antique military stuff and carries .455/.476 rounds.

Yes, the lanyard ring fits perfectly in the divot, as if someone had hit a Nazi on the head with it.

I got to see and handle this gun in person last night, and let me tell you, pictures do NOT do this beauty justice! The blueing is in fantastic shape! So much so that I initially questioned if it had been reblued, but upon closer inspection, it appears to be 100% original. This firearm was VERY well cared for over the past century. There's just a little bit of dust inside the barrel, but that should clean up easy enough.

I love how well this gun is balanced, both visually and in the hand. The bird's head grip is remarkably comfortable, too. Perhaps the most amazing thing is that no one else put a bid on this gun. I think it was just meant to belong to Clark. Again, this is one heckuva find. He also said he'd give me a heads up when he takes it to the range. \:D/
