Supplier for belt webbing only, no buckle?

OK I've got some vintage WWII belt buckles coming and need to make some belts.
Does anyone know a supplier who sells just the webbing (Khaki and Brown) in custom lengths?

How much "over hang" would you say is coming from Indy's belt? It looks roughly 5-8" to me but because it curls that may be deceiving?

Thanks guys.

I would check with Todd. He has rolls of it so I know he can do custom lengths.

If you have a few to do, it might be more economical to buy a roll and the endtips yourself rather than having lengths cut.

If there's one nearby, the military surplus store usually has a few roles.

Take a look at the Baron Belt site you linked to in your other thread about the aged buckles...They've got rolls of webbing as well as pre-cut lengths in just about any color you can imagine...

Cheers!

Check out this source. I have never ordered from them, but they have a great selection.

Weren't the Indy webbing n the belts made of cotton? Their supply is all nylon or similar.

OK looking at this store I don't think I could buy the webbing and "antiqued" brass ends and have it be cheaper then buying these entire 50" complete belts for $2.88 each. All I need to do is trim and swap out the buckle.

WHICH COLOR?
They have a "wheat" that looks like most Khaki I've seen out there. The beige looks way to light. They have a "brown" and "dark brown" The dark brown looks closer to Wade's dark brown which has a reddish to the brown while their brown looks like a real brown. I like their brown but would like the most accurate.
As stated I what 2 of each Khaki/wheat and brown.

What do you think?

eBay store which is only to help me pick the right color especially the brown.

My web belts are the thick woven cotton similar to the original weave of the vintage military webbys. The brown photographs a little purple but is actually quite brown. We also offer the solid brass buckles and the plated brass buckles. I believe the original web belts used had brass plated buckles even though the solid brass buckles seem to be the most desirable these days.

Thanks Wade for the info. I'm mostly interested in just some webbing as I own 5 WWII solid brass buckles.
You don't happen to sell webbing do you?

I don't. Mainly because I purchase the pre-cut lengths and then have the appropriate number of buckles to match with each belt. That's why I don't sell the buckles or belts separately.

I sure appreciate this thread; one never knows where some valuable info will turn up around here!

I have been scouring the the web for authentic WWII brass buckles, but unfortunately, you have been one step ahead of me at every turn. Please keep me in mind if you find you have more buckles than you can use!!! :P

Anyway, I was all set to order some authentic web belts without the buckle, when I read your comments about 1 1/4" widths. It dawned on me that the web belts I was going to order were only 1" wide! :?

Thanks, Lantz!!! Thanks also for the search tips! ;)

Hey Michael what do you think of this webbing? It's 1-1/4", heavy duty, beige. It looks like others Khaki to me. They also carry a nice dark brown that's currently out of stock. They sell for $2.59 per yd., with multiple yards selling as a continuous piece.

I also found this person who is near me. I'll contact her when she's back from vacation.

Michael I've got those 3 buckles coming. I'll take some picks so you can choose one.
