Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, but I've browsed them for several years. Anyway, I'm finally ready to get myself my first legitimate fedora. I currently have a Country Gentleman Wilton which I have slightly modified, and I'm looking to leave the Lite felt realm for the real deal. I'm currently looking at the Akubra Feds. I want to get a Fed IV deluxe for quality's sake, but the Fed IV comes in that tempting Tawny Fawn. The Deluxe has Heritage Fawn, but it's unclear from the photos on hatsdirect how similar/different the two colors are. The ribbon on Heritage Fawn looks a little weird. Does anybody have any suggestions? I did a search but am hoping for a little more information. Thanks!

What looks weird about the ribbon on the DLX?
I found dealing with Hats Direct really wonderful when I bought my Fed. They were great with all my questions so my first piece of advice might be to shoot them an email and see if they can answer all your questions.

This might help to show the color difference. This is my Tawny Fawn Fed IV and my Heritage Fawn Banjo Paterson.

Thanks very much. I've decided I'm going to spring for an Indy Fed IV Deluxe, and then follow it up with a Tawny Fawn Fed regular. The Heritage Fawn looks like it has a bit more gray; it looks almost like a beige to me.
