I might be ordering an adventurebilt in the next few weeks & I have some questions.
1. Can i request a wider brim such as 3 1/8 x 2 7/8?
2. Is there a discount for COW members?
Thanx!!!

1) Yes
2) No, not anymore anyways. Steve recently raised his price to $650....now it's my understanding that when you order at this price, Steve works on these hats on his "day off" and gets them out in under 6 weeks (the "lead time" listed on his website). He did, for a limited time, extend the previous price of $400 to COW members (when I placed my order), but we take our places at the end of the list.

So let me get this straight: No one can now get a hat at the $400 price if they haven't already paid, but if you are a new customer, you must therefore pay the $650 price, but you get your hat sooner?
I don't blame Steve for raising his prices, but how come the people who paid first don't get their hats first?
I mean, I haven't ordered one at all, though I'm tempted, and I am relieved to think that I won't have to wait a year if I do, but it's still seems a little unfair for those people who have been waiting so long.
If this is correct, that's fine, I'm just wondering.

Darenhenryw, What you are missing is that the new hats are being made on what would have been his time off. IE: weekends. This doesn't effect any of those customers at all. It's up to Steve if he wants to work on the weekends anymore. I'm one of those who has ordered a hat ( or 2) at the old price and have been waiting ( I don't know a year and a half). No big thing, I knew this going in and thats fine by me. I haven't really thought about my order until today. I know Steve will deliver , He always does.
I hope that helps.

Thanks, John.
Yeah, I guess I just feel bad. Though I'm not sure who I should feel bad for: the customers for having to wait so long, or for poor Steve who's working on his day off.
Either way, my hats off to everyone.
And now I'm noticing that Steve will make a custom Raiders Rabbit for $300, with a turnaround of 4-8 weeks? Is that correct?
Not that I want to put the poor guy through more work, but that's very tempting . . .

Yes, Steve has stated that the rabbit Raiders hats will go out under a similarly short (relatively short anyways) time frame.
Here's what he wrote in the Vendor Announcements section:
Fedora wrote:As with the 650 buck CS fedora, the price of these hats will reflect an expedited delivery time, UNTIL the new film appears. I have to have those prices in place so I can charge the studio my site price, PLUS, the track record of the higher prices is so low that I can make them on my usual day off, until I get caught up on all of my back orders. So, this is not gonna delay any back order, if you are curious. I would rather take that day off, to be honest, but will work it as long as I have to. I don't expect to work many of them though. So this works out well for me, and kills two birds with one stone. Thanks guys. Steve
