My new Joe Strain 4' matched whips!

Here some photos of my latest acquisitions!
My matched pair of Joe Strain 4' "Aussie" whips.
Joe was going to begin them as 8" handled Lone Star whips, but I told him I wanted the handles to be 10" Then we both agreed to place the ringknot at the 9" mark for aesthetic purposes. They are brandy in color with red and then yellow accents.
These whips are my first foray into the world of matched pair whip cracking! So far I'm having a ball!
And here they are amongst the entire whip collection.
Next I want to get a pair of Performance Hybrids from Lauren over at Midwest whips.
Enjoy, everyone!

Hey Darren, what a nice collection you've got right there. But... what is that second whip from right to left. Is it a Jacka? It looks HUGE...
If so... (now I remember you've got a Jacka..) what's the other CS whip?
Merry Christmas!
Aldo.

Hey, Aldo, Since you asked.
From Left to Right: 8' Strain KOTCS; 9' Del Carpio Raiders; 10' Strain Raiders; 10' Nolan Raiders; Matched 4' Strain "Aussie/Lone Star whips; 10' Jacka KOTCS; 7' Jacka "DeLongis" whip.
Yes, the Jacka is a much thicker whip all around. Joe does amazing work and is one of my personal favorite whipmakers, but for his KOTCS whip, he goes for the aesthetic, but (at least in MY case) not the bulk, thickness and construction as the Jacka. This is not to say that Terry's whip is better or that Joe's is not as good. It's just that Joe more or less sticks to his "Indy" whip formula, changing the ringknot and turkshead to Terry's version, but maintains the "Morgan-style" weight, thickness and taper, etc.
I know that there are other whipmakers who have made KOTCS whips and seem (from what I can see in photos and discussions) to have attempted Terry's thickness and construction style.
Merry Christmas to you!

Yes, yes . . . a video will be coming when I can get a decent one together of some sort of routine. I had a video I was proud of, and (no joke) I accidentally erased it. I was so ticked.
Any day now.

Gorgeous pair.....it seems to me Joe Strain is doing each whip always very much better than the last one........
Don't get me wrong. I mean his skill has always been excellent, nothing to say about it.
I just want to say each new whip is always more elegant, more nice tapered, more nice dropped strands, more and more and more anything........

Strain's whip looks like hero whip in Raiders temple scene, when Indy point the way and check the light:
