Well I just ordered my first Indy bags and strap! I went with Jake Johnson's KOTCS 7/8" strap and buckle. I ordered 3 bags, one for myself, and 2 for my grandsons (10 & 7). I'll find some old belts/leather to make their straps. I got 2 bags with W&G and one M.&Co. The bags came from eBay and WPG. I'll post pics once they arrive.

Well I just received the first of my bags. The 2 from WPG arrived. The W&G is more of a olive colored green while the M&Co. is more of the mustard green color. I could of sworn I read somewhere that the bag Indy used was the W&G brand and tended to be closer to the mustard color green. I'm still waiting on the eBay W&G bag to compare with the other 2 and take pictures. It will be interesting to see the 2 W&G bag from 2 different places.
Any thoughts?

That'll give you some variety! Indy's bag actually seems to look different colors in the movies. In Raiders, it seemed to be a darker green than in the other movies, at least to my eyes. Maybe it was just the lighting, and I'm sure some other guys here can tell you more than I can on that. I do have one bag that is definitely a darker green than my other bags. I don't know if this is because the bag was originally this dark, or if this particular bag was just so well preserved that it kept the original color they would have all been! I have another bag from the same maker, and it is the lighter shade like most of my other bags! Anyway, congrats on the great bags! They are great for hiking!

I have a three bags and all three are different. I like the more brown color for look but i feel green is more SA. The thing I love about the green bag also is the more ornate or detailed snaps, instead of the flat plain ones.
