Peter managed to finally make the jacket I wanted!

Post by Rudolf »

After three years and three jackets I finally got the jacket I wanted!¨

The first was the cow and is too heavy, for some reason, so it smells too #-o

The second was the lamb and are very nice in summer, but feels a bit fragile. And two inch too short, but as I said a nice summer jacket #-o

The third was the goat and were also two inch too short due to a misunderstanding, however, works just fine as a spare jacket #-o

And now the fourth! Just like I want it! It became the goat this time also, mostly because it is durable. the quality is wonderful all seams are reinforced as I asked for including an additional inner pocket with zipper. :)

If you read this Peter "Thank you very much for a wonderful jacket"
You did not only made me happy, but allso my wife, who now hopefully do not have to see more of my jackets that take place in the hallway.

Looks really good. What size is your jacket, and what dimensions did you specify for back length, sleeve length, shoulders, etc?

What specs did you give for this jacket? I'm asking because I may one day order a custom ROLA (with 80's fit, no facings, etc.) and I want to know how much is included with that order and how much I have to specify myself (like pocket dimensions, yoke height, etc.). Thanks.

The jacket looks very good. Good front length, a bit long in back.

Is this to the 'Hero' pattern? It doesn't look like other Wested Raiders jackets.

I can tell that this is not the hero pattern.

it kinda looks like a my specs for the jacket but its longer. it looks like it is in lack of the longer collar. I can see they made it with my high yoke specs and pocket placement.

I really love this jacket. really!

let me ask. is this the authentic soft goat or the new soft dark goat?

congrats man

Holt I really do not know which skin it is, I asked Peter about the darkest he had but I like, it's really dark brown!
And yes there is a 21 inch Holt collar.
Then I raised my pockets to 2.5 from the edge and made them a bit bigger 7 x 8 inch , along sid straps 6 inch upp from the edge. The yoke is 1,5 inch over the arm seam.

Ron The jacket is size 42 (tight on me!) that I wanted it! My other jackets are 44-46.
Back length is 28 inch but will quickly shrink to 27 by experience. Sleeve length is 29.5 inch
(warning do not try this at yourself) I am a tall man with long arms so my jacket is extended and enlarged here and there. ;)
My length is 6,5 or 197,5 cm And weight 214 ib or 97 kg.

I thought it was said the dark goat wasn't popular enough to get a new version?

I am almost ready to order one from Wested, and have been lurking in the background for a bit. It's nice to see those old-fashioned pictures.. how appropriate.

I did make a fresh batch of dark goatskin of which this is part and there is more available.
It would not have a bone mark in the back as the skin is not washed and that is
the only skin we had problems with.

After one and a half years, this jacket is finally formed after my body, rear panel has shrunk by almost two inches since it was new!
No artificial distressing, has only been using it more or less daily since December 2009
I really like how this jacket has been shaped.... O:)

VERY nice Rudolf and its interesting to see a big man wear a jacket as easily/naturally as a smaller man.

Sensational all round and you are justifiably satisfied.
