Alternative gloves ???

I just purchased a pair of the gloves described above, ("Filson goatskin glove lined with merino wool"), because it has been so cold here (single digits for the last few days).

While they are not SA, they are close enough, and beautifully made. Expensive though, $70. But they perform as advertised, so no complaints.

They also make the same glove, unlined, which is very practical, and I will probably get a pair when it warms up next spring. Given that the majority of the Filson line harkens back to the Golden Era, they are definitely in keeping with the 1930's "look."

And they look so much better with my G&B Expedition when it's cold out than a more modern glove would...

On the Filson web site, the lined gloves have a dark leather binding. Not the same exact pair as shown on the link above.
