LC Bullwhip at Planet Hollywood, London

Post by Satipo »

Just posted these up in another thread and I thought they might also be of interest here. Not sure of the authenticity, but the claim is that this is an LC whip.

It looks like old (90s) Morgan to me. But I can't say if it's LC whip.

Looks like a whip made by David Morgan, of the right vintage, to me.

No doubt it's a DM, but it's not dark enough to have been from LC and the handle is too thin. The butt knot is also too thin.

Yes, it does look like a late 80's Morgan. I'd say it's authentic since Planet Hollywood is probably a stone's-throw away from Elstree. It's a good bet that the prop department kept a few choice items when filming wrapped, which PH likely acquired for their display with relative ease.

Hasn't it been shown that color is a poor indicator of Indy Whip Truthfulness?

Ya from RAIDERS. Every movie after Raiders had darker whips due to age.
