Ok, well, not entirely anways. I have a Todd's bag, and let me just state upfront, that I have been entirely satisfied with my bag and its durability. I've had it for several months and have used it daily the entire time as my "man purse" ("It's not a purse, it's European!"). Unfortunately, the metal disk on the side got snagged on something and several of the brass tabs that hold it onto the bag were damaged. I emailed Todd, but he said he had no replacement parts for the bags......should I try giving Magnoli an email?

Or does anybody have any ideas of how to replace this part? It doesn't really affect the functionality of the bag per se, but it would be nice to have it still be SA.

The problem with that is I only have one tab left and I don't have confidence in it to hold the disk on since all the others have broken off, and there's really not enough surface area to have a good bond with the rest of the brass piece.

slow set [30 minute] epoxy resin will do it, just be patient and careful. apply it with something disposable like a match.

Has it pulled off? The metal outer disk is riveted on. Get a large diameter fibre disk with a hole in the center or metal washer for the inside, and re rivet it through with the metal disk on the outside. I wouldn't use glue or epoxy alone, or at all

Yes, it's pulled off several times now, which is why the tabs on the brass rivet(?) piece have all broken off.

I should have explained that the epoxy has to be worked into the fabric behind a bit to get a good hold. I've used it at a pinch to secure metal decorations to hard wearing costumes before with success.

Maybe it's time to give it a retirement party and find a new one.

Understood. I think perhaps it might be a good idea to use epoxy to stiffen that area of the cloth, then reattach the disk using a large diameter flat disk on the interior or washer with a new rivet. Perhaps a solid rivet rather than the hollow one that is used on Todd's bag.

The same thing happened to me, I just used a Chicago screw, the same type used on the MKVII leather strap!

the problem is the disk on the inside is not large enough diameter, and the rivet should be solid, not hollow.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. What you need is a tubular rivet to attach it like new again. I do have tubular rivets, but you'll have to send it back to be reattached. You need a setter for that type of fastener. In the other hand, if you don't care about these details, I can send you a simple press rivet you can set with a hammer. Shoot me another email with your address and I'll take care of it.

By the way, I'd just like to reiterate that every other component of this bag has held up brilliantly and that this piece falling off would not make me change my opinion on the overall durability of Todd's bag, it's great!
