sizing tape for a federation?

anyone have some of the sizing tape that gets mailed with the federation they havent/arent using? if so, please shoot me a PM!

It is window weatherstripping. You might/could find it at a hardware store.

I don't like the tape personally. On Akubras, my experience says they run a bit large, but will shrink down to fit with some sweat and wear. Or use the old lampshade trick.

Alph,
I think he is referring to putting the hat on top of a lampshade, with the lamp on. The idea is that the resulting heat from the bulb should shrink the hat band a little. If it is not too large, a good wear will effect the same result.

I had a sizing experience once with a fur felt safari hat I bought online. It was marked size 59 but was in fact a 60 and this is what I did (don't laugh): I had an old leather dress belt (1" wide) that was 2 sided (i.e. brown on one side and black on the other). Turns out the belt could be split down the middle. I split it down the middle and cut out a length that would fit under the sweatband. As luck would have it, it perfectly made up the 1 size difference I needed and felt much better than the foam strips I was using.
