How (and how hard is it) to attach a patch to a leather...

jacket?

There is a really annoying bubble/mark on the front of my jacket that just keeps gnawing at me so I need to cover it. How hard would it be to attach a leather patch?

Won't the patch just be a way bigger reminder of what's under it? Plus make a bunch of other holes in the leather that you can't remove?

Once your jacket gets worn and is older, it will have a bunch of other imperfections. My advice? Let it go.

Needle and thread, I reckon. Usually works for me when I want to attach something to something else.

Can you disguise it in another way? If it's light, you can darken it. Darker things always recede and are less noticed. If it's darker, try darkening the area around it to make it blend. Can you add a photo?

Is this the mark that was on it when you got it? You should have exchanged it tehn probably.

What is it? a weak spot type 'bubble' or scar type 'lump' on the leather? Where is it? in a normal spot for a patch on an A-2?

Without pics, I'd say leave it be. Patched leather looks pretty odd.

On the other hand, if it's about 8 or 9mm in diameter, cut it out (including the lining), maybe singe it a touch around the edges.

If someone asks, reply "I don't want to talk about it" then mutter something about "Nazis... I hate those guys..."
